Local entrepreneur creates a gel to help CPAP users tolerate the mask.

Do you have sleep apnea?  Do you wear a CPAP mask while you sleep?  This is a story about Jim, who has sleep apnea and has to wear his mask every night as ordered by his doctor. During the night, Jim has to constantly adjust his mask because it is blowing air all around the mask, in his eyes and on his face, and making loud noises that wake him up, as well as his wife, from sleep. This only makes it harder for Jim to wear the CPAP mask every night as required by his doctor.

CPAP is a device that is prescribed by your doctor to reduce the amount of apneas you have while you sleep. CPAP stands for Continues Positive Airway Pressure.  This machine pressurizes your airway, keeping your airway open so you can breathe without any obstructions blocking your airway while you rest.  The CPAP mask is a mask that fits to your face and holds the appropriate pressure in to reduce the apneas. When the mask is pressurized it can cause the mask to leak out from the rubber seal and create loud, irritating noises that can interrupt your sleep.  Essentially the larger the leak the less likely the therapy is benefiting the patient due to the fact that the airway is not pressurized or opens causing the patient to continue to have apneas and interrupted sleep patterns.

Well now there is a product that helps you get that peaceful night’s sleep your doctor promised.  A local group of entrepreneurs  created a gel called CPAP Maskgel that helps eliminate the air leak around the mask and stop the noise from ever starting.  CPAP Maskgel is designed to go around the mask where it touches the skin and creates a liquid seal to your face.  What this does is locks in the necessary pressure for you to reduce the amount of apnea events during the night just like the doctor ordered.

CPAP Maskgel is FDA approved to wear on your face with a CPAP mask.  This product is clinically proven to restore smooth healthy skin as well as reduce the amount of air leak around the mask.  It also eliminates the noises caused by a large leak such as whistling and gurgling sounds that may wake you up during sleep.  CPAP Maskgel also helps the every night CPAP user tolerate and cope with the therapy allowing the treatment to work for you and get that restful night‘s sleep you deserve.
